Batting Quilters Dream

I absolutely love Rag quilt! It's like an easy and only a blanket together soon! The photo at left is a quilt double ended end week using 7 "square.
Here's how to begin.
1. Choose the size of the block to begin ... Of course, the largest blocks faster than the quilt goes. For reasons of good sense, I suggest going with a minimum of 5 "blocks.
2. Choose your fabric. You want to choose fabrics that match very well. The work of cotton and use a color coordinated flannel half, but finally, is the best flannel fabric frayed. Another good option is to introduce some of the denim jeans will look great on a rag quilt.
Personally, I like to use at least five different fabrics for a diagonal Nice going, but you can use only two or as many as 50. (these make great covers of old furniture cleaning cache) cover more than seven different points of view and just for fun I threw in a velvet texture. To get the support you can take any What to mixed or on the spot fabric. I'm fairly conservative and are often supported himself through out the quilt.
3. Choose your average batting or fabric (if at all). If you use two cotton fabrics for front and rear, we really want to consider a plea (or a sandwich of fabric, as I like to call it). With cotton will usually Quilters Dream with demand, which is a loft batting. You also may decide to go with a color to match the flannel.
If you use a cotton face flannel and again .... unless that wants a puffy quilt can give half. If the above is flannel and flannel back is definitely not be something in between.
My best advice is to do a couple of blocks and decide by yourself.
4. After all these important decisions ... The fourth step is to simply cut all the blocks of size you want (before, Rear and middle (if necessary). All blocks must be cut the same size.
5. It is now time to begin to put everything together. What I do is to align the blocks in the order you want and start making a sandwich with all the fabrics you plan to use.
6. Then you need one for a quilt squares. You can choose any model you want. Generally easy to model X, but you can choose anything. Hearts are nice, but need to be emphasized. Try to leave a "1" tab on the edge all in doing this. If you do not pick it up with a seam ripper before putting the pictures together.
7. Then comes the fun part ... everything together. This is where I organize before you start ... I put the blanket on the ground during the design I want, then stacked in rows in order when they will sew. As I called the cell lines with post-it notes.
Throughout the entire quilt is to use a "1" tab, This is very important for optimal control. Take two blocks of row one and with the joint support and the front of the quilt facing the ceiling and the other front side bottom of the sewing machine to start assembling my ranks. Once I sewed together all the rows returned to the quilt make sure everything looks good.
Then each row to take the ironing board and iron the seams open. and define the lines back on the floor.
Then pin the ranks at the seams two lines at once. Again, you must make sure that you put the back as you want to look worn in front of your quilt. After gathering all the rows of two by two, to begin the process for filing the ranks both. It is very important to pin down as the quilts can be found to be very heavy fast.
8. After all lines are assembled and all the pressure seems to open, you have to sew a seam 1 cm around the whole quilt.
9. Now comes the wear and probably the most tedious process. I suggest using spring scissors. It will certainly be much easier and less stress in your hand. You want to start wearing on the quilt Cutting 1 / 4 "to 3 / 8" lines so close to the vein as possible, but be careful not snipping spent sewing. Remember to make the outer edges.
10. When you finish cutting the quilt all go ahead and throw in the washer. This will be a little messy for your machine and you want to wipe with a paper towel after such material on the machine groups. Then add in the dryer. After the dryer has a warm and friendly duvet and fluffy cloth. The more you wash the most is to fight and look gorgeous!
Rag Quilt Council: After the withdrawal of the dryer if you use light fabrics or dark can see all the fluff on the bedspread. My magic cure is to tape. Take pieces of tape and use it as a lint .... works like magic!
Happy Quilting,
Jen
