Even the best China can earn points or mysterious stains, but "never stains chlorine in the pottery or porcelain," said curator Mildred Sheppard, Arlington, Va. "It can get under the varnish and cause other damage. His advice: Remove stains with a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water distilled activated with a few drops of ammonia. as little as possible.
Avoid sudden temperature changes. Wash in warm soapy water. "Temple" as we know, does not apply to the assets of glass. Never put fine china in the dishwasher. Detergent or eliminate damage to the hand-painted trim.
Do not store liquids in jugs or glasses of value. Vinegars, spirits, or other acidic liquid will do what is known as the glass of disease. Sheppard, even water is explained at the output of a line in the glass.
By all means use your money, but "it is advisable to wash sterling steel. The face of money, "says Boris Paskvan, whose clients include the White House.
Not soft or plated metal to warm in the oven. The heat can melt tin solders and metals used in soft silver platter.
Polish with abrasive fluids or creams. After polishing, wash, rinse and dry the metal objects hand. Paskvan adds, "the silver tarnish less quickly if they are covered with special material, processed or stored in boxes lined with it. "

Samplers and other textiles
Samplers, quilts and other textiles must be kept out of bright light to reduce fading. Clothing store flat. The best place to store a quilt is a bed. Ply extend the possibility of thread breakage.
