looking for a good model of simple quilt log cabin?

I have a new sewing machine and want to start a new clevis. I do it for my son. He has made only small blankets easy for me. So I want to be something good for them. This plan probably one winter so thick. I found a model, but I think it is too light somewhere. and am having troble find pictures of quilts. thank you for the help here is as found.
