Sewing Machine - Janome 11590 - is good for this quilt / applied?

Hello everyone, my husband is my sewing machine for my birthday and have been seen on eBay because it seems a good price. I will use it for quilting and appliqué. Does anyone know the characteristics much needed in this material (for quilting and applied) that I can be aware of? I'm still a newbee to sewing and these techniques to advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! MM

This is not the current site and no comments on Janome patternreview.com it makes me a bit nervous ... I certainly would not consider it seamless. To pick up the pieces, any machine that can do a straight seam will work properly. I made (and Upholstered) lots of quilts on the machines as a singer or an old dressmaker 15 White. Wall usually use a zigzag stitch of some sort, a zig-zag an invisible point a blanket stitch to mock, or similar. A Again, there are many machines out there that can do. The things I find most useful when a quilting Harp good engine size (the space between the needle and the right pillar), servo or not, which empower complete drilling of the needle, even very low speed (mechanical can stop at low speed when you try to convince them to do something heavy), and the needle toward the up or down selectable shutdown. multiple needle positions that can be used for sweet little sewing sugar quarter inch can also be useful.
