Brother offers a complete line of embroidery machines, and can be disconcerting to see the differences between machines.

The most economical machine, and most popular Brother embroidery machine made for the masses, is the brother SE270D. The SE270D a D for Disney.
This is a sewing machine and computer with 97 top-embroidery designs including 27 designs depicting characters from Disney and 98 point functions. It features Brother's exclusive new rapid system load thread tape. This means that, simply place a spool of thread into the cassette, insert the cassette into the machine and the needle is threaded automatically! The upper part of the machine line is the Brother Quattro 6000D. This is a incredible machine with quilting, sewing, embroidery, all included. There are nearly 50 square inches of workspace - 10 inches to the right needle and 5 inches high. The definition of the LCD is high. The LCD also offers a zoom to the region of the needle. You can integrate applications with this machine, and includes 600 drawings and models.

What kind of sewing machine do you use?

I want to start sewing again and I am looking to buy a machine sewing. I have not touched one since 8th grade Home Economics (which was 14 years ago!) Is there a particular brand, which are more reliable than others? Besides, I like to start quilting time, so there is a feature to look if I want a blanket? I do not need a machine that embroiders ... just something a little basic, easy to don, and reliable. What would you recommend to everyone?

I use a Brother LS 1520 that I had Walmart. It has served me well over the last 5 years and I started with a little padding. This is the machine I have. Unfortunately, he begins to feel that they need to replace some years. All sew, I worked in (2) used to be OLD (old) Singer or Brother. All new machines are always Brother.
