Squares Quilt Blocks

Everybody has jeans that have holes in the knees or the children grew Out. Do not throw away, recycle them into a large quilt to bring a picnic or take your car for emergency heat. I think things like that since he lives in South Dakota.
I made two of these quilts and my daughter made one for her. It's fun to add the design of luxury jeans pocket much. And by all means use other colors if you want your quilt. The jeans are not blue. I added green, white, purple, black, colored and acid washed. Then, the denim is a fabric is also very solid and heavy enough so the wind does not blow around your picnic or beach.
Denim cut into 4 inch squares and place them on the floor until get the look you want. If your child uses the jeans size you want May to smaller squares or even alternate between a square and 4 inches one that is 4 squares, 2 inches wide. Be creative. Her quilt blocks can be triangles, diamonds or any way you choose. Thus the design of the imagination.
You can even use a bag with a flap on it to put your keys in. If you do this, I suggest you put at the corner of the blanket so that the buttons would not want to set the case. To make this quilt an extra hot, I make two layers in the design of denim and put them together with an old blanket in the middle stick. You can also buy-bat, but I want to recycle. Use your imagination to the union. You can make your own pieces of denim or go to The Denim Store and buy a color that you want to add a little flare.
Be creative and have fun with this project.

Quilting opinion please!?
I want to make a quilt like this: I am planning http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c134/kiko_kamia/quiltplan.jpg about 7x8 meters, with 4 inch squares and I would half-inch seams (so I'm going to be cut by 5 cm square). I think to cheat a little by using a leaf flat on his back. On the way everything is looking right now, I need 253 blue, 55 red, 49 orange, 43 yellow, 37 green, 31 blue, 25 purple and 11 pieces of ivory. What I wonder is: a) Do you have any tips on how to do the job better and b) any idea how many yards of each type equipment that I should buy? Thank you for any help in advance!
1 / 4 "standard seams are quilts - I use half-quilts inch for babies who are destined to be established, however. I suggest that you might want to try strip quilting techniques Jillions seats instead 11 and sew it back together. Take the first three columns of your quilt and "make" those: # 1: 24x4 "= 96" blue band. Add 1 / 2 "in Overall, this tape is cut 97 "x 5" # 2: 5x4 "= 20" in blue, + 1 / 2 "across = 21" x 5 "piece thus: 17x4 "= 68" Red + 1 / 2 "across = 69" x 5 ", redder: 2x4" blue = 8 "Blue + 1 / 2" Through = 9 "x 5" Blue # 3: 4x4 = 16 "Blue" 1 / 2 "through 17x5 =" blue 2x 4 "= 8" + 1 red / 2 "through = 9" x 5 "and red: 15x4" = 60 "Red + 1 / 2" across = 61 "x 5" red 3x4 "= 12 "Blue" 1 / 2 "through = 13x5, blue, etc. A quick quilting technique that would be perfect for this type of quilt - often used for quilting serger, but it works well in a sewing machine. Once you have columns of sewing, I cut strips of support and batting 5 "wide and you sew the quilt together with cotton wool and support in place, a band at a time. Here's how: http://www.quilterscache.com/H/howtoquiltoneatatime. html except yours will long strips rather than square blocks. Then, when all together and bound, may, if desired, add a little extra padding -- I think one reason vine in the center of each column can be incredible. As the quantities of material, if cut separate blocks, and assuming that 40 "long-range equipment, we cut 8 blocks per row: light blue: 253 blocks / 8 = 32 W x 5" = 160 "= 4.4m and add a little more for the errors and I would buy 55 Red 5 meters: Wide 7 * 5 "= 35" + error = 1.25 meters 49 Orange - I would buy 1.25 meters also 43 yellow - 1 1 / 8 green 37 yards - also 1 1 / 8 yards Dark Blue 31: 7 / 8 yard purple 25 - 7 / 8 meters 11 Ivory - 1 / 2, the court of the court for method I proposed would be less, and I'd be happy to calculate for you if you're interested.
