Christmas Craft Ideas - Make a hardy tree Christmas craft
Are you looking for ideas for Christmas crafts each year? Try to rack your brain for some ideas for some crafts, Christmas tree ornaments or gifts to make?
This year, why not make some ornamental trees recycled denim? These can be Treasured memories and have a rustic, yet artistic flare to them. They also make excellent gifts for friends or grandparents.
So you do:
Find a pair of worn jeans but sweet, and draw two circles on them (most of the leg that works best). (using a pot lid or size that you want to work)
Sew the circles with 1 / 2 inch seam allowance, but leave a little space for stuffing your decorating denim.
Clip the seams every 1 / 4 inch or less, to a fringe with sharp scissors.
Do a little, then wash them and throw them in the dryer, it will be a soft fringe, white fuzzy for the rustic effect.
Stuff your ornament with denim upholstery polyester or something sweet, and sewing, and opening closed with a piece of decorative cord for hanging on the tree.
Now the fun part, decorating.
Depending the age of your children, get decorating supplies. These can be sparkles, rhinestones, embroidery, fabric painting, quilting .. That you want. Denim is a large canvas. Beading suits me very well here too.
If you start with these ornaments denim now, when your kids or yourself, will have time to really let their artistic talents shine before all the festivities begin. I saw those completely covered in shiny beads, and they come out really a lot of Christmas lights.
You now have a cherished piece, rustic art. You can only buy at the discount store!
Denim is so versatile, especially the soft blue faded jeans. I think these work best. Hopefully this inspires you to be creative with ideas for Christmas crafts!
