Views From Quilt Block

A quilt stamp is composed of blocks that are all the same size, generally the size of a postage stamp, hence the name "Quilt stamp "pole". They are small square blocks that are about a year and a half to two inches tall. Dozens of colors used in the quilt, which will give a appearance of patchwork. There is no template for a quilt stamp instead of the colors are chosen at random when you add to the quilt. This is similar to the quilt charm, except that the blocks in a blanket of charm about five inches by five inches.

It is easy to make your own stamp coverage. If you are already a Quilter, save your pieces of fabric for this project. To begin, collect 40 different pieces of fabric, at least six inches by six inches. When selecting fabric, choose a good variety of colors and patterns. The fingerprints must include bands, flowers, paintings, prints, small, large prints and anything that catches interest. If you cover for someone else, choose prints that you feel reflect the character and spirit of the person.

From each piece of fabric, cut 3 squares with each frame is two inches by two inches. As you cut each square, place in large bowl or bag. Once you've finished cutting all fabrics, at locations selected at random from the container and place them on a table. Do not worry about what color or print that you choose, just place one by one, if you have 10 cars and 12 boxes to go down. A Once all seats have been placed on the table, you can rearrange the colors if you wish, especially if too many places like that are placed coast to coast.

The next step is to begin sewing your quilt. Using a 1 / 4 inch seam, sew the squares on the row bottom together. Continue sewing the squares in each row together, go, line by line and go to the top of the quilt. For each line, press tab in the opposite direction. In other words, in a row, press the tab on the right and the next row, press the tab on the left. If the tabs are all in the same direction, then the quilt will be more uniform. Once all the squares are sewn in rows, you can join the ranks. Encore once, press the seam of a row and up the next row.

To complete the coverage above, you have to create a boundary. Choose two colors for the border - a light color for the border inside a dark color to the outer edge. Colors may be a solid or a print and color of the bedspread. Cut the inner edge of 1-1/4 inches wide and cut the outer edge 3-1/2 inches wide. Connect the border of the cover.

Now you're ready to finish the quilt by adding support staff. There are many ways different to do this, then do research and find a method that you feel comfortable. Take your time planning stages before beginning and end with a quilt to be handed down from generation to generation.
